What is integration?
Creating a good Web site is a complex operation.
Integration refers to the process that begins with design and continues through creation of the site and its going on line.
Diptyque’s specific approach includes taking internationalization #1 (i18n) into account from the initial design phase. Localization #2 (L10n) comes into play essentially during the building phase, with creation of the site’s resources (text, images, interface components, sound, video) and then their assembly into a structured, functional whole.
The goal is to get across a message that is effective, modulated to suit each market.
We also sometimes use the term “multi-media integration,” which refers to the process of coordinating a brand’s concept and its communication to suit all the different media (Web, print, audiovisual) and ensuring their consistency and complementarity.
This is necessary to make the site consistent with the strategy of the company or brand.
